    Hi all,
I noticed my /usr dir is pretty full. Upon inspection I found a large core.23823 file (269 MB) in /usr/local/apache/logs. I have dealt with thes in /usr/local/apache before, but never one in this location. Can I delete this?

    thanks for your input.

    Go on, have a guess
Yes, you can always delete core files, though if they keep reappearing then there's clearly an underlying problem somewhere.

you could always run gdb on the core files and see why they are appearing.,
