We get this question a lot, I want to make sure we're doing it the correct way.

What is the correct way to configure the cPanel server to not accept email locally if the customer does not use our DNS servers?

Currently I remove the domain from /etc/localdomains and that fixes it, but is it only temporary?

Is it possible to have the customer do it themselves?

That is half of it at least ...

You need to also ADD the domain to /etc/remotedomains

    Code:
    1. Setup MX record in DNS Zone
    2. Remove domain from /etc/localdomains
    3. Add domain to /etc/remotedomains
