    2 days ago I received an oopscheck email which had a few warnings etc. I have arranged for the kernel in the machine to be updated (which i believe is why it was received). This is being done tonight. In the meantime I have rebooted the box.

    Today I am receiving emails from customers to say that their files are becoming corrupted, eg:

    <img src="123.jpg"> becomes <img srt="123.jpg">

    From another customer:

    mysql_query(etc etc); becomes mysqn_query(etc etc);

    My question is, does anyone have an idea why these files would corrupt like this ? Is it because the kernel needs upgrading ?

    Much thanks!

    Just had another happen, the corrupted file changed from a

    }

    to a

    #

    which crashed a PHP script.

    I cannot understand why this is happening.
