The cPanel counter has suddenly stopped to work. It shows the following error message:

&Could not write to counter file: /var/cpanel/Counters/user.dat&

user being the actual username for that account

    Ownership and mod are:

    -rw-r--r-- 1 user user 3 Oct 22 17:23 user.dat

    I have suexec enabled.

    I have Cpanel 5.2.0 R38.

    Anyone?

:) Change the permissions of the dat file to 777. If it still does not work change the ownership of the file to nobody.nobody.

Try changing ownership to the username.
