Couple of CPanel questions.

1) Is CPanel like an OS or do you just install on an OS?

2) Does it support ubuntu server edition 8.04?

3) Is there a one-time fee fore it?

1) cPanel is not an Operating System, you install it onto an Operating System.

2) Yes, it should work on Ubuntu Server (http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/11/whm/install_overview.html).

3) No, you pay a monthly fee to your cPanel licensing company.
