Couple times mysql lost user added to database, HELP.

    Hello

    We have mysql 4.0 on Redhat enterprise 4.0 and couple times we see situation (on couple servers - couple cccounts) that mysql lost users that was added to the database and user site stoped working because cant connect to database.

    Maybe someone have the same problems? (i see that mysql lost user information form mysql dase table db and users) Database is ok but user must i cPanel add the same user with passwd and add thise user to the db....


    Please help

    We've seen this happen a few times, too.

    The database user is just "gone"... and the database stops working.

    The account owner must then go into cpanel, recreate the database user, and then add the "new" database user to the database.

    Then the database works again.

    It is very annoying, but does not happen often and we have never been able to find out why it happens.

    Just another cpanel bug, I guess. :rolleyes:

    On us servers database was not gone, only user added to database (one user for 1-2 weeks gone) and user must go to cPanel and add new user and add user do db.

    I speak with couple firms that have hosting on cPanel and all of them have the same problem... :eek:
