Anyone else try to upgrade to the new Release 77 on a FreeBSD box?. I just tried it and it seemed at the point where it should finish it restarted melange and sent stuff to the browser that I dont think I ever saw on it before. I allowed about 10 more minutes and checked the server and nothing was running. Killed and started the browser again an all Cpane/WHM port stuff (controlpane/webmail/etc) is not responding.

The server is up and all normal stuff, apache, pop3, ftp, etc.. is ok but Cpanel doesnt seem to be done. I leep getting "webmail failed @ Sat Jun 7 22:08:46 2003. A restart was attempted automagicly." emails every few minutes and cron emails me this weird "Cron <root@xxxxxxx> /usr/local/cpanel/bin/dcpumon >/dev/null 2>&1 Abort trap" message.

Getting "ELF Binary type 0 not known" crap when I manually run some scripts. I think thats a Linux file type thingy, but not sure.

I opened a ticket, but I was wondering if anyone is in the same boat ???

    :(

Seems when I try to execute many of the binaries in the Cpanel system they also produce the "ELF binary type 0 not known" error.

Using a simple editor and viewing the binaries I see things like /lib/ld-linux.so.2 and other linux related stuff, however if I view other standard binaries on the freebsd server I see the word FreeBSD and things like /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1

Me thinks (but may be dead wrong) that 6.4.2-77 for FreeBSD was compiled wrong and may be somehow from the Linux release.

yes this release kills everything... and downgrading to an old release doesn't work... completely screwed if you've installed this "upgrade"...

There are a problem with edge & release binaries. Stable is not affected. Switching to stable will take care of it, or update to a newer edge/release build.

can you please fix the typo in /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql.server.sh while you're at it (should be "--user=mysql" instead of "--use=mysql" )?
