I have a customer who has Microsoft Entourage on his mac and he can pop his box just fine from anywhere. But when he has a message sitting in the outbox and does a send receive from home (he's on comcast) he gets mail but it won't send the outgoing. I checked my acl's and smtp auth is before the zen.spamhaus.com rbl section, so if he auths first it should bypass the rbl part and send his mail. But its not. I have checked and his settings are setup for smtp auth and using the same user name and password that he's poping with. Any ideas here? Its kinda confusing.. I tried to go into the advanced exim cfg section and don't see anything in there about the rbl's so I am guessing that the new interface is generating some of it on the fly when its saved. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Follow up on sending emails

Well, after I got the customer on the phone when he was at the problem location. We found that they are now blocking outbound port 25, so I setup the other port to also run exim on and that fixed it. Seems comcast and bellsouth are ramping up the anti spam controls.. all I can say is its about time. Thanks for the hints.

I'm just waiting for them to start blocking 26.
