You can install cPanel/WHM on FreeBSD as it is a supported distribution. For a complete list of supported distributions, please visit our System Requirements Page:

    http://www.cpanel.net/products/cPanelandWHM/linux/sys_requirements.htm

Since Debian is not on that list, cPanel/WHM will not work on Debian.

Regardless of what others here may tell you, if its not in the above list it is NOT supported. It might work perfectly but if you hit a real snag you are on your own.
