Hello,

Internal case CPANEL-20286 is open to address an issue in cPanel & WHM version 70 where cPanel >> File Restoration and WHM >> File Restoration don't function properly when a trailing slash is utilized in the path for Default Backup Directory in WHM >> Backup Configuration. Attempting to restore a file using the File Restoration feature in cPanel or WHM will result in a “file does not exist” error message appearing in the interface:

/$filename does not exist.
As a workaround, you can browse to WHM >> Backup Configuration and remove the trailing slash from the path utilized for Default Backup Directory. For example, you’d change the following value:

/backup/

To:

/backup

Then, click on “Save Configuration” at the bottom of the interface to save the change.

I’ll update this thread once the solution associated with CPANEL-20286 is published.

Thank you.

Hello,

To update, this is solved in cPanel & WHM version 70.0.34:

Fixed case CPANEL-20286: File Restoration: fix with trailing slash backup dir.

Version 70.0.34 is now published to the EDGE and CURRENT build tiers. It's tentatively planned for publication to the RELEASE build tier later today. I'll update this thread again when that happens.

Thank you.
