    Hi,
    We have problem with new WHM transfer tool.
    We notice if we UNTICK 'Copy Home Directory' there are symlink between cpanel username to '/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot' eg;
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:31 fmcammy1 -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:31 dynammy1 -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:30 beejrcom -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:30 ara10003 -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:30 bmcalcom -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:30 alphkcom -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 May 16 13:30 acadvcom -> /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot

    Sample error;
    Account
    Failed to create the account: Sorry, the home directory for this user ( /home/acadvcom ) already exists. Please move or delete it and try again or use the force option if available. at /usr/local/cpanel/Whostmgr/Accounts/Create.pm line 685.
    Removing copied archive “/home/cpmove-acadvcom.tar.gz.part00001” from the local server …
    Failed: Account Restore Failed: “Account failure: Failed to create the account: Sorry, the home directory for this user ( /home/acadvcom ) already exists. Please move or delete it and try again or use the force option if available. at /usr/local/cpanel/Whostmgr/Accounts/Create.pm line 685. ”

    We want to transfer hosting from old server to new server. There is no account in the new server before.

    We have do the same method for many of our server before without problem. It is because it is easier to skip the homedir for huge account.

    We have check no problem if we TICK 'Copy Home Directory' but not very suitable for huge account.

    The source server have more than 50 accounts.

    Hope anyone with similar experience can help.

    Hello @alias harun,

    Can you verify which version of cPanel & WHM is installed on both the source and destination servers? I was unable to reproduce this issue with cPanel & WHM version 70.0.42.

    Thank you.

    Hello @alias harun,

    I was actually able to reproduce the issue on an additional attempt. I've opened internal case CPANEL-20499 to report the issue, and will update this thread with more information on the status of this case as it's available.

    Thank you.
