After the most recent updates, I am also getting the errors about pruning backups on a dozen servers mainly with FTP destinations.

Hello,

Internal case CPANEL-20569 is open to address an issue with FTP backup destinations where the backup transporter is unable to prune backup directories when VSFTP is used by the remote FTP server. I'll monitor this case and update this thread with more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, the workaround is to enable the following setting in the VSFTP configuration file on the remote FTP server:

Code:
force_dot_files=YES
Thank you.

Hello,

To update, the case was addressed through an update to our documentation. The following is now noted under the "FTP" tab on our Backup Configuration document:

We strongly recommend that you use Pure-FTPD or ProFTPD on remote FTP servers. Unexpected results may occur with some FTP server software.

If you use Pure-FTPD, ensure that the DisplayDotFiles yes statement exists in the /etc/pure-ftpd.conf file.

If you use the Very Secure FTP daemon (vsftpd), ensure that you set the force_dot_files setting to yes in the /etc/vsftpd.conf file. For more information about vsftpd, read the vsftpd documentation.
Thank you.
