[CPANEL-23918] FTP Connections Not Displayed Properly

Hello
There is a problem, even though users are connected to FTP, but,The cPanel does not display users connected to the "Ftp Connection" section.
Are there any specific settings required to display the connections in this section?

Can you verify if the affected system uses CloudLinux? If so, please see the following quote sent by one of our Technical Analysts:

It looks like this is being restricted by CloudLinux's "hidepid" feature. There are other processes mentioned in this blog post that are having issues:

It looks like CloudLinux has updated the kernel to workaround this issue, but it is still in the beta tier, so it may not be something you want to use on a live server just yet as you would have to enable the testing repositories:

The best thing to do at this point would be to wait until the kernel update has reached a stable version. Once that happens I would expect this to work properly but please let us know if that is not the case.

That's exactly the same!
The operating system is a CloudLinux, and in normal Linux, this problem does not exist.

Hello Everyone,

To update, we've moved this issue over to a cPanel & WHM internal case (CPANEL-23918) as CloudLinux determined the behavior exhibited in it's software was by design. I'll monitor case CPANEL-23918 and update this thread with more information on it's status as it becomes available.

Note that while this issue is mostly noticeable on systems using cPanel & WHM on CloudLinux, it's technically possible for it to affect CentOS in cases where /proc is mounted with hidpid=2.

Just wanted to let anyone who's following the thread know, this case was marked as done and won't fix because not only do we not want to encourage bypassing a security feature but we are also not looking to make any changes to FTP as a whole.
