I have to wonder if cPanel and CloudLinux developers ever cooperate with each other, or even if they actually communicate at all !

Today's CloudLinux 6 kernel upgrade ( CloudLinux 6 kernel updated ) resulted in the inevitable new security advisory in the cPanel Security AdvisorScreenshot-2019-3-18 WHM [echo] cPanel Security Advisor - 78 0 17.png

I rushed off to check the license status and got
Code:
[[email protected]**** ~]# /usr/bin/kcarectl --license-info
Valid license found for IP <my.server.ip.number>
[[email protected]**** ~]# /usr/bin/cldetect --check-license
OK
So it appears that whilst CloudLinux are satisfied that I have valid licenses, the cPanel Security Advisory cant determine that !

Why is it so hard for cPanel and CloudLinux to co-ordinate fixes for these erroneous advisories ?

Hello @rpvw,

This is fixed as part of internal case CPANEL-25973. I'll update this thread as soon as this case is published to cPanel & WHM version 78.

Thank you.

Update: This should no longer occur as of cPanel & WHM version 80.
