In Progress [CPANEL-33904] Slack Notifications and Weird Characters

The Slack integration is awesome and long over-due.

However, the notifications are kinda 75% done.

They often have characters like these:

âÂÂ$hostnameâÂÂ
The ânscdâ service is down.
The service ânscdâ is now operational.
The systemâs command to check or to restart this service failed.
The ânscdâ service is down.
The service âcpanel-ccsâ appears to be down.
The service âcpanellogdâ appears to be down.
The service âeximâ appears to be down.

Slack in installed from the App Store and the cPanel notifications are the ONLY ones with these.

Would appreciate it if anyone can pitch in and let me know if there is anything that could be done to get right.

Seeing the same, looks like the special characters are being malformed.

Hi @MajorLancelot,

I was able to replicate this behavior from your report and I've filed an internal case as a result CPANEL-33904. I don't have a workaround for it just yet but I will let you know when I have more information on this as well as anything in regard to when it will be resolved.
