CPANEL-35382 and CPANEL-24094 these backup issues on remote incremental backup with Rsync have been open for ages

where will this get fixed?

Hey there! I spoke with the manager of the Backups team and he let me know CPANEL-21358 is a complicated issue. It's being worked on, but there's currently no timeframe for when it will be resolved.

CPANEL-35382 was just opened a couple weeks ago, and would likely be fixed in tandem with CPANEL-21358, but I just don't have much to report at this time.

I really think backup function should be "critical" but why this seemed not the case here...

I've sent a message to the backup team and I'll let you know what they have to say as soon as I get more details. I can say that a lot of resources are being put toward the Ubuntu rollout happening later this year, but I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

Since CPANEL-24094 is an older case I doubt it will get a fix at this point.

The backup team does want to tackle CPANEL-35382 at some point, but with all the Ubuntu planning I can't say for sure when that will happen. I have been informed it is a large change that will need significant development time, but I don't have any updates at this point.
