Hi Nick

I read the Cpanel5 Prep news through whm news.

I have the grsecurity patch implemented - what are the steps i should take in order to make sure whether the &link& function is working or broken.

best regards,
Parag

Pray. Any deity you've got, it's time to make them fully aware of this. I have sketchy details at best. (WHM news doesn't quite satisfy me...)
:p

Hopefully there will be some more detail available soon.
I have some internal grumblings from Darkorb but they don't elaborate on anything past what's stated in WHM...

Anybody else have any specifics on this?

What I understand by &System link function& is this:
# man 2 link
Anyway I guess Darkorb will give more details in due time (hopefully).

Ok I helped Nick beta test this stuff yesterday. The most newest thing is the addition to create email accounts on subdomains. It works great.

One thing Nick had me install was ftp://ftp.cpanel.net/exim-cpanel5/exim-3.36-7_cpanel_antivirus.i386.rpm which allowed the subdomain emails to send and receive. I'm not sure if all systems will need this. My guess is they will.

Well.. our solution (Temporary, of course) was to disable the auto-updates to cpanel/whm... ;) The plan is to leave it this way until 5 is out, and we see what types of issues everyone else has with it.

Of course, this was just us, and I can't recommend everyone do it, because then my plan would be no good. ;)

I couldn't see any difference in Cpanel after installing version 5. Has anyone seen the new options for email accounts/webmail for parked and pointed domains? Where are they located?
