CPanel 8 Upgraded Ruined Main Email Accounts

My main email accounts on several domains do not work anymore. Any mail sent bounces with an error that it isn't routable.

This only happens on the main accounts email (ie. the one where the login name is the same as your cpanel login name).

Any idea how to fix this?

I'm having the same problems. Only the main accounts are having problems. My customers are getting this message:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Re: EToyotaParts.com', Account: 'mail.websitedomain.com', Server: 'mail.websitedomain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0B

I'm running WHM 8.4.0 - cPanel 8.4.0-S92 - RedHat 7.3 - WHM X v2.1

Yeah. This is ridiculous. Although after further testing it doesn't happen on all accounts for some reason.

I've run into this problem and some clients as well. I found that by deleting the problem eMail address in Outlook Express and re-creating it, solves the problem.

Dont' ask me why, though.

Make sure you run /scripts/mailperm

Cpanel is making a habit in the last few days of just removing the /etc/localdomains so do the /scripts/mailperm first.

This script will fix any broken default addresses

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkdefaultaddys --force

Well I ran this as I also was getting the error on several domains. I did not run /scripts/mailperm

Let's see if the problem continues.
