cPanel account move another server

    hi,

    how can i move 1 web sites other servers from putty or cpanel.

    If you have root access to the server you are moving to, you can generate a full site backup on the old server, then upload that to /home on the new server and in WHM go to Backup -> Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file.

    There are other ways but the above method is by far the best and most reliable. :)

    This method can be slightly less reliable since it doesn't encompass everything - but all the critical things would be transferred:

    On the old server, go to your cPanel interface and click Backups. Now download all the backups except the full site backup. Then login to your cPanel Interface on the new server and in the Backups section there restore all of these backups.

    Of course, the first method is the best and most web hosting providers wont have any issue with you sending them that file and they restore it for you.
