cPanel, the leading Web Hosting Control Panel Software provider, announced today at its annual conference that Attracta’s Free Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools will become a standard feature in future releases.

cPanel powers the web hosting industry with its point-and-click software that automates the provisioning and management of websites. The bundling of Attracta adds the ability to easily manage their search engine presence with point-and-click SEO Tools.

As the Internet matures, and more businesses have websites, two things are happening: the web hosting industry is getting more competitive, and it’s getting harder for website owners to make their sites stand out. Attracta’s Free SEO Tools include:

“Attracta is one of the first third party integrations to ever to be bundled in cPanel” said Aaron Philips, cPanel VP of Operations. “Every website needs traffic, and since Attracta’s XML Sitemap technology has proven to work well for our customers, it only made sense to include it as a core feature of our control panel software”.

cPanel should really think twice about adding so many products and services they need to support which doest cover their whole client market.

This service is only offered in English and cPanel is worldwide which means its for no use to hosting companies with international clients.

Just my 2 cents.

I think it's safe to say the majority of hosting companies, especially those who use cPanel can actually understand English? And those who don't, probably already using some form of translation tool just to use these forums.

But, why don't you suggest that they have their website content in multiple languages?

I personally think this is an AWESOME move for cPanel, and probably for Attracta as well.

Just as matter of interest, how will Attracta integrate into cPanel?

Oh my, did you got things wrong.

Of course companies that use cPanel understand English and I highly don't think the company itself will be using the tools by Attracta. Please research this better before posting.

This tools are for offering your cPanel clients, this means its a bonus or added value you can offer to your customers, and cPanel comes in tons of languages and is used like that in several languages. If the tool is only in English its worthless for hosting companies for example in Germany that offer cPanel in German to their customers, Latin American which offer in Spanish, Chinese, Arab, Dutch, I can go on and on.

Are you going to say now that all this companies offer cPanel just in English to their customers?

Even the new cPanel login interface is multi language now, with a drop down to select your language. So it doesn't make quite sense the approach they are following to make it as international as possible and then offering tools that are only for English offerings.

To answer your question, of course cPanel website, the forum and everything still has to be in English, must companies from all over the world work in English but that doest mean they offer their service in English to their customers. Admins don't have a problem with this, but users do.

Yes, you're right, I totally "got things wrong". Sorry for not seeing "things your way".

I also, however, and incase you didn't notice, clearly stated that you should suggest to Attracta to offer their product in multiple languages.

But, why don't you suggest that they have their website content in multiple languages?

I actually have, and our non-native-english clients use it as well.

But, it's a 3RD PARTY offering, so I fail to see how it's cPanel's fault, or even responsibility to fix the problem. Attracta should be contacted, either by you, or your non-english-speaking clients, and request to offer a multi-language application and website.

Are you going to say now that all this companies offer cPanel just in English to their customers?
Please don't put words in my mouth, it's a bit childish.

Even the new cPanel login interface is multi language now, with a drop down to select your language. So it doesn't make quite sense the approach they are following to make it as international as possible and then offering tools that are only for English offerings.
Take a look at applications like RVSkin / RVSiteBuilder / other application written by Chinese / Japanese / Twainese / Easterner's and you'll see they also only offered their applications in English - often very broken English. And over time they got people who could translate for them and they could offer it in other languages as well.

"...a standard feature in future releases."

I'm excited about this - and think it will be a great addition to cPanel for my customers. However, the article didn't give any idea as to how soon this will be implemented - just "future releases." Does cPanel know (about) which release this will be added?

Attracta is currently working on localizing their product offering in the following languages: Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and French, and should have this completed by the time it's bundled in cPanel.

Just a few questions regarding how Attracta has changed over the past few months, does it now:

A) Ask if you wish to join (and agree to their terms) after you click the icon in cPanel, or does it still just auto-signup?
B) Do they offer an easy way to unsubscribe? or is it still a case of the end user emailing them to request removal?

This actually sounds like a great thing in my opinion. Especially since it has Attracta working on various language packages as well. So it's already helping both companies. And I think it will only continue to be beneficial to both, as well as the millions of users and clients this will undoubtedly aid.

i still havent tested this tools but I don´t understand why Cpanel wants to give away SEO Tools...

I mean if everybody starts using automated seo software, how can they guarantee good serp rankings? So now everybody is going to be an SEO just because of this type of softwares? how is this good for the search engines? and what about the new google search plus? how will this software interact with the new google?

Hello Troy, I've identified you as part of the Attracta's staff. One thing I wanted to add to your comment is that although it is GREAT that the plugin will be offered in so many languages, what about the searh engines? Will it be able to identify the top search engines to position a website in spanish or in german? Google is an easy one because they can identify the domain and the language in the content, but there are language specific search engines, and even country specific search engines. I do SEO manually for enterprises in Argentina and we have about 70 local search engines, and my customers aren't interested in appearing i.e. in Spain search engines or listings. What can offer Attracta in this kind of scenarios to me?

Well, that's another good question I'm wondering. It's all bells and whistles, we are happy to receive an excellent app for free, but how does impact in the SEO world if any end user may become a SEO expert?

... Attracta’s Free Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Tools will become a standard feature in future releases.
I wonder the following:
standard feature = a feature that will come enabled by default in future releases?

Just to be clear, this toolkit may be disabled from Feature Manager, right? and one can set what packages have access to this toolkit, right?

What happens with those admins which installed this tool from the cPanel app gallery? will result in a duplicated install? auto-detect and migrate them?

Thank you

I really dont think an app can transform a regular or non experienced SEO person, into a SEO expert, I believe that this software will help to cover the minimun SEO onpage requirements, but no more than that, I really can´t imagine a good backlink strategy that acomplishes Google's often changing algorithms, like Panda, or the new google search plus that will only show personal results based on the webs that each user visit. Sorry if my English is funny, its not my native language.

I really hope that someone around this thread can answer my quetions, cause the automatic SEO software tools I know can cost up to 150 us dls per month, if this free tool does the job, then sign me in

Cheers
