Hello :)

There are no native features that will shape the speed of the upload of backups to a remote server. You may want to look for traffic shaping software that includes this type of functionality. Could you elaborate on disabling the default location? For instance, do you mean you want to ensure backups are only saved to the remote FTP destination?

Yes disable local backups and just use ftp, because when i try to send them it disabels it and they don't send.

i think its because they are trying backup local first. and i think this is why it fails.

Hello,

Actually the backup is always created locally first (usually in /home/cpbackuptmp). Then once there it is moved to the normal backup location (/backups?) if that option is enabled. and then it is uploaded via FTP to the remote server.
