Cpanel Backup Question....

    If you have just one drive, you would create /backup directory on the same level as /home and setup further options in the WHM? (I'd like to download the backup from this server using FTP)
    Do you have to chmod /backup ?

    putting the backup files onto the same disk as the main os/data is a bad idea - it provides little to no benefits and will use 2x+ the amount of space.

    Ill download it, and then delete it ( it's not on daily basis), I just wanted to know is there anything special to watch for..eg will this mkdir backup work?

    Ok it's working, another question : This is what i get after backup :

    In the cpbackup folder: (weekly)

    sitexxx.tar.gz ( many of them = all sites ) + 2 folders dirs and files (which contain numerous backups, like apache..etc)

    Is This OK?

    Two BUGS:


    If site is over quota it want get zipped ( thsi site was around 100 MB over the quota)

    The Last site = cpbackup just hangs, waiting the load.....(repeated ....)

    Anyone have solutions/fixes for this?
