    and there is a message
    open3: exec of /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel.pl ./frontend/x/index.html failed at cpsrvd-ssl.pl line 998

FYI WHM and Webmail is work properly...

    how to fix that ?

There is no filename cpanel.pl on /usr/local/cpanel/

When upgrade from Current to Edge version the error message is

    open3: exec of /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel.pl ./frontend/x3/index.html failed at cpsrvd-ssl.pl line 1019

    Hi,

Once you are on the EDGE tree you basically can't or shouldn't go back to an older version. So make sure eveyrthing is set for the EDGE build of cPanel.

It could be that there is a bug in this particular EDGE build causing the problem, after all they are not tested for production use.

    Basic things to try:

    /scripts/upcp --force

You could also rebuild Perl so you are on the latest version, and ensure all modules exist:

    wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/perl588installer.tar.gz
    tar xfz perl588installer.tar.gz
    cd perl588installer
    ./install

Then run this to check all modules are there and upto date:

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules

Other than that I am not sure without having a look at your server, so would advise getting CPanel/Hiring an admin to look at it.

    Chris.

    Following :
    wget http://layer1.cpanel.net/perl588installer.tar.gz
    tar xfz perl588installer.tar.gz
    cd perl588installer
    ./install

done but error still same.. and Perl is still 5.8.7
    I try to configure perl5.8.8 with ./Configure -d

    and there is message :

Checking your choice of C compiler and flags for coherency...
I've tried to compile and run the following simple program:

    #include <stdio.h>
    int main() { printf("Ok\n"); return(0); }

    I used the command:

cc -o try -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -Wdeclaration-after-statement -I/usr/local/include -L/usr/local/lib try.c -lnsl -lgdbm -ldb -ldl -lm -lcrypt -lutil -lc
    ./try

and I got the following output:

./try: error while loading shared libraries: libgdbm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The program compiled OK, but exited with status 127.
(The supplied flags or libraries might be incorrect.)

You have a problem. Shall I abort Configure [y]
    Ok. Stopping Configure.

    Should I reinstall gdbm ? how ?

    Thank you

Yes, that's because you did not follow the instructions.

You have to change 'engine=' to equal 'cpanel' as per our KB. Right now you have cpanel.pl which is incorrect.
