cPanel Branding Basics: A Guide for Reseller Hosts

cPanel & WHM is a tool that has become synonymous with web hosting. However, while hosting providers around the world use this software to offer their customers the freedom to manage their websites, email accounts, databases, and more, they have also been given very few options when it came to customizing, personalizing, and branding the dashboard they offer their clients. This has changed in our recent updates to cPanel & WHM. Now, with additions like Paper Lantern to our software suite, web hosts can alter the color, feel, and overall experience of the cPanel dashboard to provide their customers with a personally branded and truly unique cPanel experience. So grab a coffee, let’s rebrand, and design cPanel dashboard as if it was your own product.

I'm still reading this massive guide, looks marvelous!
Will this tell me how to reorder / customize module position (or order)?

For example, default Paper Lantern layout has the metrics module at the bottom...what if I desire that to be on the top?

It won't. This guide is for changing the look of the Paper Lantern style only.

Moving sections in cPanel is (IMHO) a more personalized sort of thing. I might want one area at top, and you want it at bottom. Each user can click and drag the sections to where they want them to be easy enough.

(That's not an official response from cPanel, its just my opinion.)

Totally agree. The drag and drop is a beautiful thing. Right now I'm looking into creating a customized module box with just a few simple links and it would be really nice to have that new custom module appear at the top. I still have more research to do on how to position and order these boxes but if you have any advice and can point me into the right direction...I would be most grateful!

Talk to you soon and Happy Holidays!
