Is it just me or is branding malfunctioning after last night's update?
    (8.7.0-RELEASE 8)

Edit: I've just discovered an even more annoying thing:
My language files have been replaced with brand new blank ones... lovely
    What a weekend ahead

We are also got problem with Branding especially on Reseller branding. When go to reseller's user cpanel, branding images will gone. If call to those images directly

    http://XXXXXX:2082/branding/bluelagoon/logo.jpg

    it will return
Insecure dependency in chdir while running with -T switch at cpaneld.pl line 989.

As I know, this appear to occur on 8.7.0-EDGE-7 and later. It is definitly CPanel bug.

Yup - same thing here as well...

Hopefully they'll get it fixed on the next update, as it makes the resellers accounts look 'ugly'.

Yup - I reported it earlier this morning (probably along with others) - they responded saying they passed it to the developers.. And now:
    +-------------------------------------------------------------+
    Fri Jan 23 19:11:08 EST 2004
    8.7.0-EDGE_15
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    cpanel pro RC1
    fix branding
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

So that's that - good job on fixing this (cosmetic) bug cpanel...

I have cPanel 8.8.0-R53 and branding does not work... Using the branding page in WHM uploading appears to do nothing. Uploading the same file name but modified file appears to do nothing except images fail to load all together in cPanel itself.

Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem?

Seems it worked on an older version but I don't like the idea of downgrading.

I had my first experience with branding today and didn't realize there was a problem with it, just thought it was me. Anyway, I did get it to work and here's how I did it.

I'm using x2 theme and that's the only one I've tried it with and I'm running freeBSD 4.9 on one machine and 5.1 on anoterh cPanel 8.8.0 R54

I uploaded the new graphics to:

    /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x2/branding

it worked with either .jpg or .gif

I went to WHM and chose branding, then browsed my hard drive, found the files I had uploaded, hit upload again for each of the files I did upload. It doesn't seem to actually upload the files, but, you need to go though the process.

I found it easiest to browse for the file, upload it, hit the back button on the browser and the files that were "uploaded" are still in the text box so I new it was done.

Anyway, after all the files that I uploaded via ssh were also done through WHM, I refreshed the screen. It would then display the new files and then I would go through each image and mark it as default. When done, the new graphics were displayed in the header.

I also noted there wasn't an option to upload the background image for the main page header graphic so I just replaced the one in the x2/images directory and that took care of that.

It worked for me and I only replaced the logo basically for the main page and the other pages. Also, my images were 106pixels tall compared to the 124 for the original on the main page so I edited the stdheader.html file in the /x2 directory and changed the height.

Worked for me on 2 FreeBSD machines....
