cPanel build 15328 breaks branding

We were running 11.6.0-CURRENT (14829) and had custom branding completed and working (mostly) at least for the cPanel itself it was working fine.

After the updated to 11.6.1 (15328) the branding no longer apples to any of the reseller's sub-accounts.

Permissions?? What are they, what should they be?

Additionally, if the cPanel for the reseller itself, the theme/branding appears, but there are several links that provide the home directory, last login, and messages that get errors from the script:[an error occurred while processing this directive]

This error occurs on any theme.

Any ideas?

Did you open a ticket on this ? Also what does /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log show ?

No, if we don't have a direct license, can we?

My understanding was that if we didn't obtain cPanel directly, we couldn't open up a ticket directly, we had to go through our dedicated server vendor.

We rolled back to 11.6.0-R15076 and the errors on the reseller's cPanel are gone, but the branding is gone for everything but the reseller. Even though the custom template still shows up, and on the reseller account, branding shows only the one available.

EDIT: Yes, we cannot issue a ticket directly and the license owner will have to "forward" our request. Also, the error_log for cPanel has rolled over. I have attached a copy anyway, because there are other errors, but we rolled back to R15076 to fix the errors on the reseller's cPanel. The branding is still not being applied, but we didn't want to rollback any more until we knew what to look for.

Thanks/Kevin

EDIT: Nick: Note in the cpanel access log, there are attempts to retrieve the branding...

Hosting provider wants to rollback cPanel

Nick,

We asked our service provider to open up a ticket with cPanel. Instead, they want to "fix" things their way...this is what we got from them last:

I need your authorization to roll back cpanel to stable release, right now there are many perl issues which are causing those errors.
1. Is there a way we ca report these issues other than the forums as they occur, even if we're not the direct licensee?

2. How can we rollback cPanel? I've searched for docs online, can't seem to find a thread specific to getting the rollback for the entire cPanel/WHM...just comments about file usage, and rollback of configs, etc.

Thanks,

Kevin

We are very liberal about enforcing that policy during this point at the release cycle so you shouldn't have a problem sending one it right now.

If you PM me the ticket # as well I will make sure it gets to the right people.

My only experience with branding is the images uploaded don't stick.. Here's all I could find in the error log after trying to upload an image.
