cPanel/CloudLinux Installation Issue

Hi,

Has the cPanel/CL installation process changed? We cannot install cPanel on a new server at the moment. We have an IP-based CloudLinux license. Even though CL now recommends to convert to CL after installing cPanel, the cPanel installer hangs here:

2012-12-29 13:53:24  213 (DEBUG):     [20121229.135324]      [21791] Performing initial CloudLinux setup.

It's been hung there for about 20 minutes. So is the cPanel installer looking for something from CL that is not longer provided?

We can't put in a ticket with cPanel because their system requires a support ID...which we can't get because cPanel isn't installed yet.

So what do we do?

Install cPanel in CentOS, convert to CL after installation.

Thanks, but that doesn't work. Since the IP is licensed for CloudLinux, the cPanel installer tries to install CloudLinux. In that process, the cPanel installer hangs and will not finish installation of cPanel.
