I have VPS with WHM hosting multiple websites, lets say www.domain1.com and www.domain2.com
I also have a physical exchange 2010 email server hosting the email for only [email protected]

My problem is that when I try to send mail using cPanel Webmail from domain1.com to domain2.com, it attempts to send the email to the cPanel Webmail for domain2.com.

How do I make it skips over the cPanel Webmail for domain2.com and sends the mail directly to my email server? Thank you!

Hello,

Can you please confirm if domain2.com is configured to use a remote or local mail exchanger in WHM >> DNS Functions >> Edit MX Entry?

If domain2.com is configured to use a local mail exchanger, Exim will deliver mail from the server to domain2.com locally. To address this, you could configure domain2.com to use a remote mail exchanger instead in WHM >> DNS Functions >> Edit MX Entry.

Changing it to remote did it! Thank you!

Hi John,

Grate, you hit the problem right on its head.
Configuring domain2.com to use the remote mail exchanger instead in WHM solved my problem.

Thank you.
