    Hello,

I heard a rumour that cPanel is discontinuing support for frontpage.

    Is this true?

And if so, when will this occur?

I am currently running cPanel 11.24.5-S38506

    Kind regards,
    Anthony

P.S. Is there an alternative for clients that currently use Frontpage?

MS stopped support for frontpage back in 2003. They have since released MS Expressions Web, which uses a standard method for uploading content (FTP). I'd advise them to move away from FrontPage since it can be a security risk.

Microsoft discontinued support for FrontPage extensions on Linux servers in 2006, so I think cPanel will also discontinue the support.

I for one will rejoice when it is finally gone, nothing but trouble anyways!

These are still rumors until cpanel guys officially notify web developers about it. But if the support is discontinued, it would be hard for many as still there are many web designers who traditionally use Frontpage and have not touched Expressions Web to design HTML pages, not caring about the security risk or anything.
Frontpage has been one of the easiest platforms to develop and design web pages, so cPanel should consider something about it.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

Can cPanel please give us the official word on what is happening with frontpage?

    Kind regards,
    Anthony
