Hi, I have some client in which they are using 2gb disk space. But some of these cpanels are using 2.5gb and some 3gb but still sites are working.

i want to to use maximum 2gb after the allowed storage sites show error over disk usage.

what’s the issue and how to fix it. Why these user are using more disk space than allowed.

The first thing you may want to check is the WHM >> Tweak Settings option for "Include databases in disk usage calculations" - if that is off, it would be possible for the users to create large databases.

If that is already enabled, you'll need to examine one of the accounts and see where the disk usage is. It's possible there are files that aren't owned by the user, such as files created by "nobody" and so they are not being added to that user's quota.

I’ve checked the one cpanel. Its actual storage is 1gb and it is using 1.6gb. I checked disk usage and 608mb used by public_html/ and 964mb used by etc/.

why the site is still working. It must show error disk error.

Like I mentioned, you'll need to check the actual files on the account to see *where* the disk usage is as that will give us more information. You'll also likely want to search by owner to see if there are files under the account not owned by that cPanel user.
