Can someone send me some insight, so I can restart or do whatever it is,t aht's needed?

Thanks,

You didn't state if you actually tried the advice of /scripts/upcp --force (make sure to kill all upcp processes first!)

So.... did you do that or not???

What is it doing right before all the *****'s ?

More than likely it's having issues installing the Compress::Zlib CPAN module. You can often get a good idea of what is happening by:

Checking the output of ps aux on a different virtual console

Checking the cpanel-install logs in /var/log/ (linux only right now)

Yea suddenly I forgot all my skills and forgot about the log file it was writing. I had a lot of problems so i deceided to start fresh.

Fresh install of centos5. Is this supported? Is there a differnt linux I should be installing?
Ran a tail on the log file and the last things said was this.

Error: Missing Dependency: kernel-i686 = 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5 is needed by package kmod-gfs

So I see there are a few things going on wrong there. How important are they to get fixed? REally if there is a very supported version of linux, I much rather not fight with this software and use that.

Thanks,

And to answer the other questions.

I tried the upcp --force command, and it put me into the same precess of throwing *'s across the screen.

Here's what I got.

./upcp --force
