Cpanel ERROR 1045 MySql

We are experiencing the issue below:

Mysql Databases ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES) 0

AND:

SQL Disk Usage /usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)' 0.00 Megabytes

when logging in to Cpanel. I followed some other suggestions about deleting the password out of .my.cnf in root/etc/ and the ran updatemyphpadmin as suggested and it still shows the errors when logging in. I also tried deleting the password out of conf.inc.php and doing the update and that did not help either.


I did hear of a bug that made everyones home directory :

/home/username/mail/username


But I am on version Cpanel Version/Build 5.0.0-STABLE Build 28 and I looked in /etc/passwd and I do not have that problem.

I would appreciate any help we could get on this issue....

try reset mysql password under mysql function in whm

That was the first item we attempted, to no avail. Twice. We also made sure that the password did update in .my.cnf

Any other suggestions?

Same problem here, password change had no success.

Try Reset Local Mysql Root Password it worked for me!
