Are you running Perl 5.8.8? You can execute perl -v via SSH to determine this. If not, you may want to consider upgrading. Instructions for upgrading can be found at: http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=66166

If you are on Perl 5.8.8 and still encounter this error, try /scripts/checkperlmodules via SSH as root

If that doesn't work, try going to WHM -> cPanel -> Upgrade to Latest Version and check Force a reinstall even if the system is update to date. then click Click to Upgrade.

cPanel 11 runs optimally with Perl 5.8.8. I've seen some unusual Perl issues arise on systems not running 5.8.8. that upgrading to 5.8.8 resolves when /scripts/checkperlmodules doesn't seem to help.
