    Hi there,

I just signed up for a virtual dedicated server with GoDaddy, and cPanel wasn't available as an option - it was GoDaddy's simple control panel or nothing.

This was contrary to someone I'd been speaking to at GoDaddy a couple of days ago, so I'm curious - is there any reason GoDaddy woudn't want to sell cPanel with their virtual dedicated servers?

Should I call them back and talk to someone else?

    Thanks,

    Sleeman

Turns out they don't offer cPanel for their Fedora VDS - only CentOS. Canceled Fedora and got setup with CentOS and cPanel.

Worries me a little the first order-taker didn't know cPanel is only offered with CentOS.

    Ah well, progress being made.

    Cheers,

    Sleeman

For reference, the following page lists the operating systems and virtual environments supported by cPanel:

    System Requirements - cPanel Inc.

    I hope this is helpful.
