I looked around the site and searched the forums, but I can't find the Docs, Limitations, and pricing info for CPanel for VPS. I know several dedicated server providers are advertising it for use with Virtuozzzo.

How is it different from regular WHM/CPanel ? I've heard that it's limited to a single IP address. Is that true and what do you recommend users do for the second nameserver? What features are missing/modified/limited ? If it only supports a single IP, what do you do about sites wanting https, which requires a dedicated IP for each site?

How reliable is it with Virtuozzzo ?

Is there a recommended firewall manager like APF/BFD? I've heard that APF will not run on Virtuozzzo. Are you just stuck with iptables and no BFD?

Where can I find the Docs?

I'm looking for the info that's needed by the person who owns the dedicated server and wants to provide CPanel for VPS as an option for my customers.

I also see references on my existing WHM/CPanel servers update logs to a DNSONLY version of WHM/CPanel. Can that be used in a separate VPS to provide the second nameserver for others on the machine via DNS Clustering ?

VZ is great. I am a support tech for a company that specializes in selling VPS. I have had had very little complaints about it.

Here's the URL to VZ's home page.

For hosting service providers, here is a page that deals directly with that angle...

As far as firewalls, we use APF along with BFD without any problem at all. In fact, if you set it up correctly in your templates, you can have it automatically installed for each VPS that is created by you.

You can setup a seperate VPS for your DNS, but honestly I don't think it's really worthwhile to do. You clients can run they're own DNS right from they're VPS. It's like they have they're own dedicated server and CPanel.

We sell VPS using virtuozzo, its a bit to learn at first, but the benefits a great. bad news is the Veryuozzo themselves have limited techs with the knowledge to help you set the service up. email me if you need a hand
