    Hi,

I'm having one hell of a time with cPanel and BSD Ports. Why does cPanel have to put their nose in everything. If I don't wish to update my ports, cPanel should not automatically try to update it.

I'm running on cPanel 9.9.8-S14 and I have Update FreeBSD ports DISABLED in Update config under WHM.

However, anytime I run a script inside /scripts like (exim4 or easyapache), it begins the whole process of upgrading ports and generating INDEX.tmp ...etc which goes on FOREVER.

PLEASE , leave the ports alone. Most likely anyone running BSD knows already how to update their ports.
