Is there a way to create an ftp account in cpanel without the username including the domain name? Eg, instead of "[email protected]" as the login username, I would like just "ftpuser"? Pure-ftpd is installed.
The reason that you cannot do that is because the doamin is needed to identify the user account with a domain (i.e. virtual users).

I need this because I am importing a prehistoric client who was previously on a system where they used this. So all their clients had to use it Anyhow, we have to look at it again. It seems there must be a way. Because the main ftp users don't require an @domain.com.
