I understand cPanel will offer git in version 72. I have some questions:

1. Does that mean I can use my SourceTree pushes to push to my server rather than FTP the files.
2. When is Version 72 due for Current and Release?

Hi Gareth-AWD,

Great questions. We began shipping the git command line tools with cPanel & WHM several years ago. What we are providing in version 72 are some repository management tools in the GUI, including the integration of gitweb.

Right now we anticipate version 72 reaching the Current tier this week. It should reach the Release tier within two weeks after going to Current.

I never knew that you've had git for a while. thanks for the answers.
You're welcome. It wasn't until recently that we placed the git command line tools in the system PATH. In older versions you had to know that they existed in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin :)
