Cpanel installation of Postgresql

Can anyone tell me if there is any planned upgrade to cpanel that would see the default version of Postgresql installed upgraded to the 7.4 branch or PostgreSQL 8.0.

Is there a routine development path by which versions are routinely upgraded?
