    Hi all,

I have a question about Cpanel, At the time of installation of Cpanel wheather cpanel install all the servers itself or we have to install servers like(apache,DNS,FTP,SSH) before the installation.

    Hi,

cPanel will take care of installing required services. It's recommended you not install Apache/Bind before installing cPanel. Thanks!

Do not install these yum groups

To elaborate on what Jamyn said, please make sure that the following yum groups are not installed before installing cPanel:

    • FTP Server
    • Mail Server
    • MySQL Database
    • Web Server

You can see what yum groups are installed using the following command:

    Code:
    # yum grouplist
If the above packages are installed, remove them using the following command:

    Code:
    # yum groupremove -y "FTP Server" "Mail Server" "MySQL Database" "Web Server"
cPanel installs its own services or packages in place of the packages that these groups would provide. We very commonly see these packages installed when customers request a new installation, and we remove them before proceeding. The cPanel installer will install all of the services that cPanel needs. The server only needs to be online with an SSH connection and a working yum, with nothing else installed.
