    Dear friends
Recently we have assigned a dedicated IP to one of our customers and after that our WHM is trying to validate the license using the customer's dedicated IP address and not the main IP address of the server

We have checked all of the following paths:
/var/cpanel/mainip ( main IP of the server is written here)
/etc/ips (main IP address of server is not listed here)
/etc/hosts (server hostname and relevant IP address which is the main IP address of server is listed there)
/etc/sysconfig/network (server hostname is listed here)

    On this path:
server configuration > Basic Cpanel & WHM setup > Basic Config

We have properly configured the right network interface and also the main shared IP address of the server
The network interface is correctly configured and shows the main IP address of the server

But when we issue this command on the SSH we see that the license is being validated using one of our customer's dedicated IP address instead of the main IP address of the server
    lynx -dump http://www.cpanel.net/showip.cgi

What is your suggestion on our case?
    Best Regards

is the dedicated IP added via IP cpanel alias's or does it have a configuration in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts?
is the dedicated IP in the same sub-net as the as the servers main IP ??

    Dear Dalem
Thank you for your care on my case. The IP is added using WHM's "add new ip" feature and is in a totally different subnet from the main IP address of the server
The main ip address of the server has configuration in ifcfg-eth19
and this newly added dedicated ip address of our customer has configuration in ifcfg-eth19:0

    We just found the reason
The IP address was added by one of our administrators by manually creating ifcfg file for that IP
And for this reason it cause conflict
We just deleted the related ifcfg network configuration file and remove the IP address from all of the related files and restart ipaliass service
    /etc/rc.d/init.d/ipaliases restart

and then added the IP address from WHM and assigned it to our customer once again and the issue was resolved

glad it was resolved that's why I ask the questions I see this behavior all the time with our xen VPS servers removing the gateway in ifcfg will also usually resolve the issue as well
