    Dear sirs,

During the last months, we have been having several problems with your systems, WHM, Cpanel and scripts. Lately, it has increased so much that it's obstructing our work, which is illogical, thinking we use a system which costs us expensive licenses just to simplify our services management.

First, the script easyapache, which manages the compilation of apache and php, with its libraries and modules, fails. Fails at a severe level, because it compiles with the options it wants, not with the specified ones. No GD, No curl, no curl-ssl...This happens with fedora core 3 and 4, which are supposed to be compatible with your software, according with what you say in your website. We understand it's a support for production systems, cause in fact you have different versions(stable/current/release/edge).
This also applies to Trustix, so please, we ask you to warn about this sort of issues, and some more, combining trustix and whm.

Another problem we face since some weeks ago is a bad chrooting with named, which leads to erros on dns resolution, because zones are stored on /var/named/master but looked for in /var/named and the other way around.

Facing our clients, usually, server licenses checking goes wrong, showing randomly a "license expired" message, exposed for everyone who may access his cpanel and giving an erroneous public image of our company.

The solution for most of these problems, goes through hours and hours of forum search, with methods going far beyond systems administration, turning into crappy patches more typical on a 20's vehicle than in an O.S.
We sincerely find this uncomprehensible, as we see the license prices grow up, even when our number of licenses grows up too.

For all this, we ask you to offer a solution for all these problems, because this situation is driving us mad.

    Yours sincerely,

I don't know what you're after here. cPanel has just release a major update to their software from the RELEASE tree up and several of the issues you have mentioned have seen fixes applied. If you find a bug in cPanel you need to inform them via bugzilla entries. If you have an ongoing problem, then you should be logging support tickets either with them directly or through your cPanel license provider.

If you wanted to contact cPanel directly, then the forums is not the way, you would need to use a method on their contacts page.

    The question is clear.

The problems, and the dance of versions, and the answer are not fixed that occur by the forums and in tickets of support, they give but the sensation of which the usuary suffered ones of WHM/Cpanel, we are coberries of its developed team.

    Upgrade/Downgrade,/scripts/upcp.... He is not correct.

He is not correct which the thousands of dolares paid by licenses for a system of administration of servers, become a subjet of systems management, that takes to the chief engineers of many companies, to suffer, to locate the tricks necessary to cause that the things work. For that the truth, better we installed webmin and we administered the equipment manually, to old style.

    Please, a little seriousness.

What do you say, that not respond post.

Deep complaint on served by WHM/Cpanel is not post to look for the solution the hundreds of problems of WHM/Cpanel.

I known to correct this and rest problems.

The problem it's a poor service of WHM/Cpanel and several issues with UNSUPPORTED on PRODUCTION enviroment Distros Fedora Core3 Fedora Core 4 and Trustix.

    A nice day.

So, if you know how to log problems and have them fixed and they are and you still want to complain then you should do so to cPanel by contacting them using their contact details on their site. Doing so in the forums is just so much hot air as this is not the way to contact them.

Forgot to mention - You should not be using Fedora in a production environment if you want stability at all. It's a developers OS.

seriously, you are f'ed in the head if you run fedora core on a PRODUCTION box considering it is a DEVEL OS! cPanels support for RHEL/CentOS is FAR greater than their support for Fedora Core *.

    Regards,
    Brent

Go to cpanel.net and see all distros support.

Please don't reply post for inutil defense.

    And Trustix ... what it's ? A Developer S.O:?

Also.. it's ridiculos you defense. Fedora developer, ... the problem it's not Fedora. It's a several scripts of WHM. If Fedora it's developer, please don't put on Cpanel page of supported cpanel licenses.

    A nice day.
