    Hey guys,

I am facing a problem at the moment. I am using cPanel/WHM on a VPS Machine with 4x2,66GHz and 6GB Memory. But the Server keeps crashing every two to three days! I have about 20 customers on this machine, which shouldn't be too much normally, right ?!

As Installation I used the CentOS Version of cPanel.

I always get an E-Mail "chkservd HANG" and short after that, the server crashed. As a List of the Top Processes I get:

PID Owner CPU % Memory % Command
    19983 afundgrube 35.79 0.16 php spread.txt
    19978 afundgrube 9.03 0.21 php spread.txt
    19069 afundgrube 8.71 0.30 /usr/sbin/iptables
    19536 root 8.54 0.30 /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_spamd --restart --attempt 1
    19564 afundgrube 6.77 0.10 php spread.txt

    And also following logs:
    cpanel_chkservd_log_tail.txt:

    Code:

    Hello :)

The thread referenced in the previous response is the best resource when attempting to address load issues. Also, the output you provided suggests you may need to look into this process further:

    Thank you.
