Cpanel License main IP address file

Hello,

Can somebody tell me the following - where does cpanel store the main IP address for the server? I think the IP address somehow got magically changed on one of my servers and now I am getting the dreaded 'cpanel license expired'.

Anyway... it must store it somewhere, if someone can tell me where it is I'd really appreciate it!

A little update here - the main IP address for the server magically changed. Looking in to getting it changed back...

Anyone know the magic command to change the default server IP ?

if your using redhat the base ip of the server is usually set in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

I have seen this happen sporatically on servers. I have never been able to derive and explaination. I use RH 7.2 on most servers. I have found a reboot solved the issue.

wrong ip

same problem here.. .restarting the server and updating the cp doesn't work. the cp is reading the worng IP address.

got any advices?

Hello marius,
You dont have to restart the server. Run the scripts
/scripts/upcp <username>
and everything will be back to normal. Please try out.
