make sure port 995 & 2089 are open in your firewall

Never knew that 995 connected to the license server

    log in via ssh

    verify your main ip
    #curl -L http://cpanel.net/showip.cgi

make sure it matches what you think it is

make sure you can resolve the license server
    #host auth.cpanel.net

    update license
    #/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

    if you get an error

    telnet the license server
    telnet auth.cpanel.net 2089
    telnet auth.cpanel.net 995

    if they timeout
edit your firewall or IPtables ( this you need to figure out on your own no one here knows what you are running)
