Cpanel Licensing for multiple servers

Hi,

I run a webhosting Business in Australia and am wanting to move from Hsphere to cPanel, but im not too sure how all the licensing works.
I currently offer Shared hosting and Dedicated servers.
Do i buy one license that will cover all my dedicated servers and shared hosting or do i need to buy individual licenses for each server i sell?

So say i sella dedicated server for $200 without cPanel and WHM do i have to charge $260 because i need to buy a cPanel license for it?

It is up to you. You can charge your clients any extra fees for using the cPanel license.

Many datacentres provide cpanel licences at huge discounts. I'd check into those before buying from cpanel itself, I think that route is more expensive. Also you may find resellers who have better pricing. But basically, yes, you have to decide whether to swallow the price or pass it on to your user as far as I know.

If you have 10 or more license you can get them for about $25 monthly direct from cpanel.

We always buy 3 year licenses, this is the cheapest solution...
