i have a few customers that would like to clear out there space from there email. example:
    /mail/domain.com/username/inbox

how does this file get cleaned out or refreshed?

    does it do itself automatically?

also i am not sure if webmail has anything to do with this problem.

i thought it had something to do with the customer checking off "keep a copy of the message on the server" in their pc's email program, but that is not the case here.

    thank you very much

Maybe we don't know, or we missed it. It's also a Friday maybe? :)

    Did you submit a ticket?

Could also be that no problem was stated?

    By definition: /mail/domain.com/username/inbox
is where the eMail is stored until one downloads/deletes it. Are they having trouble downloading their eMail, or deleting it if they use Web based access to read it?

they can retrieve their email fine through outlook and webmail. some were curious when they saw 10 or 20mb in their inbox, via ftp, as to how they can delete it from the inbox.

it sounds like what your saying is there must be a problem or else it would automatically recycle itself, correct?

    thank you very much

Why don't they just log into Horde and delete it.
Not sure exactly what the problem is you are trying to get to.
Mail is supposed to go to the inbox.
If there is mail in the inbox you have a couple of choices... download it to their outlook....(other other email client)... or log into a webmail account, (neomail, squirrel mail or Horde).. and delete it.
You could set up a crontab from shell to delete the mail for them but that would be final! No way to stop it unless you remove it from the crontab.
Personally, I would use Horde if I wasn't going to download it to my PC.
