Hi Everyone,

When an account is created, cpanel creates a main catch-all mailbox, which is the account username. Since updating to WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.2-S120, customers report that this account no longer accepting mail, and seems to be rejecting it.

Inbound email to this returns

550-"The recipient cannot be verified. Please check all recipients of this
550 message to verify they are valid."

Any ideas? Seems to be happening with everyone at the moment.

All users are currently using the full login of [email protected], but still no outbound email. We have had to inform clients to create a new main POP3 account and update the default address, but this isn't very easy with 10,000 sites!

You need to change the default address throgh the cpanel. Email >> Default address . The addree will be the username only. You need to change this to "[email protected]" using the
"Set Default Address" link. Give a try ,hope this will help you :)

Hi, that would only help redirect all email to the mail address which is ok, the problem is with sending mail outbound through the default username POP3 account.
