Did you ever get a fix to this? This exact same thing is happening to me now and it didn't use to.

    Location:
    Go on, have a guess
    Try the following:

    rm -fv /etc/*.lock
    /etc/init.d/cpanel restart

Take great care with that first command.

I could find only one lock-file which is .pwd.lock and 0 bytes.. :(

This also didnt solve the problem.. :(

    All I see is:

    30160 root 25 0 5200 5200 2776 R 23.8 0.1 0:18 3 /usr/local/cpanel/bin/reselleradmin

Using top and load jumps to 2.0 but everything works fine and fast apart from CPanel!! WHM and all CPanel subpages work fine, its just the main page of cpanel that loads very slow..

    Any ideas are welcome..

Config: Dual Xeon 3.0, 4GB Ram, Raid5 scsi and 2000 accounts..

My cpanel is slow also. I noticed this just the last few days. I've tried restarting cpanel, mysql, exim etc. I haven't rebooted the server yet. Hoping to find a solution.
