cPanel Monitoring error?

Hi, I receive at least 2-3 times a week an email saying that my server ran out of memory. It is always when an Incremental Backup is being made. I was planning on adding some ram but then I saw on the email :
Status Out of Memory
Memory Information
Used 1.28 GB
Available 5.62 GB
Installed 6.9 GB

I have a lot of memory left so why is it sending an email and telling me Out of memory: The process “mysqld” was terminated because the system is low on memory.
